Recipes - using Black Malt
Black Barley is unmalted barley that is roasted to an intense black color. The high roast temperatures develop coffee, intense bitter and dry notes that are characteristic of Stouts and some Porters.

Black Barley provides the color and roasted/astringent notes without overpowering the coffee.
