Recipes - Red, Amber and Brown Ale Styles

From traditional Brown Aless to American Reds, these beer provide brewers with unlimited leeway for creativity. And craft beer drinkers not quite ready for more full flavored beers appreciate the malty flavor these beers deliver.

Brew-It-Again American Brown Ale—(5 U.S. Gallons) (Extract & Grain)
Delicious, easy to brew, and made with a top-cropping yeast suited for harvesting (and re-use) you can brew it again with the same yeast.

Carabrown® Beer—(7.5bbl)(Grain)
This light brown ale has the amber/orange hues of an Octoberfest.  Malty and lightly hopped, it’s a well balanced session beer with toasty/bread-like notes.

Fall Ale—(5 U.S. Gallons) (Grain & Extract)
This amber/brown Belgian-inspired ale has a distinctly nutty, biscuity warmth perfect for cooler weather.

Forever Red Ale—(5 U.S. Gallons) (Extract & Grain)
Sweet and malty, Forever Red is clean and crisp. Easy to drink, it pairs well with a lingering red sunset at the end of a hot summer's day.

Good Humans—(28bbl) (Grain)
Used at 11%, Carabrown® Malt adds an additional layer of flavor to this complex double brown ale.

The Grand Kalabasa—(5 U.S. Gallons) (All Grain)
Pumpkin! Pumpkin! Pumpkin! Oh yeah did we say Pumpkin.  Here’s an ale made with Pumpkin.
