Whew! The American Distilling Institute national conference here in Seattle has been put to bed for another year, a whirlwind event with distillery tours, great seminars and the ADI dinner and awards show on Tuesday. This year saw about 1,000 attendees and 100 vendors for the trade show. Briess live auctioned a full pallet of malt and silent auctioned 6 large bags of malted milk balls. Interestingly enough the malted milk balls went to $45 high bidder John Bradford of Charlotte, NC who is opening a new distillery but used to commercially brew beer with me!
