This amber lager utilizes Concentrated Brewers Wort (CBW®) and a quick fermenting lager yeast to create an amber lager with a speedy brew day and expedited fermentation.

Ingredients
Quantity Ingredient Comment Malt Style 6.6 lbs CBW® Sparkling Amber LME 60 min boil Extract, LME 0.5 oz Perle Hops (6% AAU) 60 min boil 0.5 oz Perle Hops (6% AAU) 60 min boil 2 packs WLP845 Fast Lager Yeast Fermenter
Procedures
- Dissolve extracts and syrups in 5 gallons of water
- Bring to boil, add 0.5 oz Pearle hops
- Boil for 40 minutes, then add 0.5 oz of Pearle hops
- Boil remaining 20 minutes
- Turn off heat and cool wort to 54ºF
- Transfer to fermenter
- Pitch two packs of WLP845 Fast Lager Yeast
Primary Fermentation: 1-2 weeks at 54-56ºF, allow to rise to 65ºF near end of fermentation
Secondary Fermentation: 2 weeks at 34-40ºF
Fermentation Notes: Force carbonate, or bottle condition with dissolved priming sugar and 1/4 pack of WLP845 Fast Lager Yeast for 2-3 weeks

Final Gravity: 1.011
