The first taste of this beer made its creator remember his boyhood home and the fond aroma of his father brewing in the basement. Though the house no longer stands, he memorialized it with a great brew and a simple street address.

6.6 lbs CBW® Bavarian Wheat LME Extract, LME
0.4 oz Caramel Malt 10L Caramel, Crystal
0.5 oz Mt. Hood Hops Boil 60 minutes
0.6 oz Mt. Hood Hops Boil 20 minutes
1 pkg #1098 Ale Yeast

Procedures

  1. Perform mini-mash with 4 gallons of water and grains
  2. Steep at 152-158ºF for 30 minutes
  3. Add extract
  4. Bring to a boil
  5. Add bittering hops and bring to a rolling boil
  6. Add finishing hops as indicated
  7. Remove from heat
  8. Cool to 72ºF
  9. Transfer to primary fermenter
  10. Fill to desired level with cold water
  11. Oxygenate and pitch yeast

Primary Fermentation: 7 days at 70ºF

Secondary Fermentation: 7 days at 65ºF
