Streetcar Lager
For those who desire a crisp European Lager this recipe utilizes various adjuncts to achieve a clean flavor and light refreshing body.

Ingredients

6.0 lbs - Pilsen Malt - Mash Grain
1.0 lb - Flaked Yellow Corn - Mash Grain
1.25 lbs - Dextrose - Fermenter
0.75 oz - Saaz Hops (3.0% AAU) - Boil 60 min
0.5 oz - Saaz Hops (3.0% AAU) - Boil 15 min
0.5 oz - Saaz Hops (3.0% AAU) - Boil 5 min
2 packs - WLP815 Belgian Lager Yeast (plus 1/4 pack for bottle conditioning - Fermenter

Directions

Mash grains at 150-153°F for 60 minutes
Lauter and bring kettle to volume
Bring to boil, add 0.75 oz of Saaz hops
Boil for 45 minutes, then add 0.5 oz of Saaz hops
Boil for 10 minutes, then add 0.5 oz Saaz hops
Boil remaining 5 minutes
Turn off heat and cool wort to 50°F
Transfer to fermenter
Pitch two packs of WLP815 Belgian Lager Yeast
