    Easy to drink and easy to brew this German-style ale utilizes German/Kolsch ale yeast to produce a crisp, clean lager-like character.

    Ingredients

    6.6 lbs CBW® Pilsen Light LME 60 min boil
    1.5 oz Hersbrucker hops (4.3.0% AAU) 60 min boil
    0.5 oz Hersbrucker hops (4.3.0% AAU) 15 min boil
    1 pack WLP029 German/Kolsch Ale Yeast Fermenter

    Procedures

    1. Dissolve extracts in warm water
    2. Bring to boil
    3. Add 1.5 oz Hersbrucker hops
    4. Boil for 45 minutes
    5. Add 0.5 oz Hersbrucker hops
    6. Boil for 15 minutes
    7. Turn off heat and cool wort to 66°F
    8. Transfer to fermenter
    9. Pitch one pack of WLP029 German/Kolsch Ale Yeast

    Primary Fermentation: 2 weeks at 65-68°F

    Secondary Fermentation: 1-2 weeks at 32-40°F

    Fermentation Notes: Force carbonate, or bottle condition with dissolved priming sugar and 1/4 packet of WLP029 German/Kolsch Ale Yeast for 2-3 weeks

    Original Gravity: 1.045

    Final Gravity: 1.010
