Hey, this is the heart of the beer we’re talking about here. The basic ingredient that helps gives your brew its unique flavor, color and body.
Technically speaking, malt provides the complex carbohydrates and sugars that are needed for fermentation. It comes from barley, a cereal grain. But you already know that.
Of course, we could go on and on about what goes into a great malt. Spend 135-plus years perfecting it, and, well, you pick up a thing or two.
