I recently attended the MBAA NW meeting in Portland, OR where the focus topic was on Cascadian Dark Ale/Black IPA/American-Style India Black Ale. Whatever you want to call this beer style they all have one thing in common, they all have a nice play between the dark malts and hops! It was another great MBAA turnout with attendance at 165 people. I was able to give a presentation on Malt Options for Coloring Beer which I’m sure was hard to see on the screen from the back of the room.
