ShelterPoint BC V 05 14

This past week while on holiday I stopped in at the new Shelter Point Distilling in Black Creek, British Columbia (yea, that’s Canada).  And just because I was a craft brewer doesn’t mean I can’t nerd-out on distilling equipment!  They have a very impressive facility and are making delicious Canadian single malt whisky and a 100% malted barley vodka–the products that go into their whisky and vodka are all from BC.  Shelter Point has over 200 acres of their own property where they are growing their barley and hope to someday have a small malting operation on site, wow!  If you ever find yourself way up on the northeast side of Vancover Island, BC you should stop in for a most excellent tour (and sampling of course).
