On Saturday the winners from the Washington Beer Awards were announce at the WA Brewers Fest at Marymoor Park in Redmond, WA (outside of Seattle). The event itself was delightful with temps in the mid-70’s for the crowds to sample over 400 beers from almost 75 WA breweries. Briess was the sponsor for the Large Brewery of the Year award and I was happy to present a plaque and prize (a pallet of Briess malt) to Beaux Bowman and crew of Black Raven Brewing Company. They won 5 medals total with a gold for their Grandfather Raven Imperial Stout, great job and congrats the brew staff at Black Raven! You can check out all the winners here: 2013 WA winners
