    Making a high gravity malty lager doesn’t have to be intimidating, this Doppelbock made with concentrated brewers wort makes it easy.

    Ingredients

    Quantity Ingredient Comment Malt Style
    9.9 lbs CBW® Munich LME 60 minute boil liquid malt extract
    2.0 lbs CBW® Sparkling Amber DME 60 minute boil liquid malt extract
    1 oz Hallertau Tradition Hops (6.0% AAU) 60 minute boil
    2 packs WLP833 German Bock Yeast Fermenter

    Procedures

    1. Dissolve extracts in water
    2. Add 60-minute Hops, boil for 60 minutes
    3. Turn heat off and cool wort to 50°F
    4. Transfer to fermenter
    5. Pitch two packs of WLP833 German Bock Yeast

    Primary Fermentation: Primary 3-4 weeks at 50°F

    Secondary Fermentation: Secondary for 2 months at 35°F

    Fermentation Notes: Force carbonate, or bottle condition with dissolved priming sugar and 0.25 packs of WLP833 for 2-3 weeks

    Original Gravity: 1.067

    Final Gravity: 1.014
